The KORE3 ø355mm C6 Z06 Front Big-Brake Kit for the 1991-1996 GM B-body, 1994-1996 Chevy Impala SS and other compatible tall-spindle applications adapts the latest C6 Z06 brake components to your GM tall-spindle equipped vehicle. KORE3 big-brake kits are a significant improvement over the OE B/D-body brake which tend to be severely rotor limited. The OE rotor is only ø11.88" x 1.04" and has less than optimal straight cooling vanes. Due to insufficient rotor mass when compared to the overall weight of the vehicle, they are prone to fading when driven aggressively. This KORE3 kit includes massive C6 Z06 rotors, measuring ø355mm x 32mm thick (ø14.0" x 1.26") with either directional or pillar vane construction, providing the highest brake torques, most thermal mass, improved feel and better cooling for more aggressive, sustained driving without brake fade.
The C6 Z06 front calipers are of a 6-piston, monobloc design with a patented pad-per-piston design such that each piston has it's own dedicated pad. This feature reduces the development of tapered pad wear commonly experienced by longer pads in similar applications. Due in part to the unique pad design, the calipers utilize cast-in bridge sections for maximum rigidity and overall stiffness resulting in improved pedal feel and pad wear.
There is excellent aftermarket support for C6 Z06 rotors and brake pads to suit nearly anybody's needs and/or budget. This ø355mm KORE3 big-brake kit is an easy upgrade from the base level ø325mm and ø340mm kits and adds even more thermal capacity for those who push their cars up to and beyond the limits. Any B/D-body running ø18" or larger wheels can benefit from the addition of this kit, whether you're grocery-getting, pro-touring, or a little bit of both.
Notes:
- KORE3 Big-Brake Kit for GM B/D-body vehicles is compatible with all GM tall-spindles that use SET6 inner wheel bearings and SET3 or SET34 outer wheel bearings.
- Kit installation requires moderate, irreversible spindle modifications with basic
metal fabrication tools. All necessary modifications are detailed in the instructions.
- Minimum ø18" wheels are required depending on rotor size and caliper selection. Not all ø18" wheels will fit. Please verify fitment prior to ordering using the
